She was the great one.
Whose kindness was stronger than any wrong.
Her love was unyielding.
To have known her is inspirational.
Her optimism and joy still linger in me -
Always urging me along
When I have no urge for that day.
Fortunate is the body who is hosting her spirit
For many lives will be be touched
And many good deeds will be done.
I hope to be as much of a woman as she.
Matriarch of my childhood family
Lives in my heart.
She warms me and fills my eyes
With tears of love, awe and respect.
She is the great one!
- and I miss her.
As much as she loved birds,
I hope she is one now -
Gliding,
Watching over me.
